Start with the flooring. DIY floor tiling with natural stone is actually quite easy. All you need to do is choose the right stone for your bathroom. Many people prefer marble, but travertine can look nice as well. The only equipment you will need includes a wet saw, a trowel, spacers, and mortar. Then, you just need to start by laying the stone out on the floor as preplanning. Use the trowel to spread the mortar and then place the stone tiles. Spacers will keep the tile even so that you can properly fill in the space with grout.

Other DIY bathroom projects you could complete using natural stone would include tiling the shower. Natural stone tiles or mosaic tiles can look quite stylish in the shower. Marble can be used to create a modern new countertop for your bathroom sinks. These projects can also be easily completed with a wet saw as long as you are careful to measure before placing the stone.
