Delivery Information
Delivery Information
The natural stone tiles are heavy and delicate. The following are specific details that cover all aspects of how your shingles will be delivered and what to do in the unlikely event of any damage being caused in transit.
Packing Detail
A. The tiles are usually packed in wooden boxes which are then placed on sturdy pallets for delivery. Layers can also be delivered in sturdy polystyrene placed on a pallet. We use external companies that are part of the national "pallet network" for deliveries. Each pallet has a weight limit of 1000 kg. If the total weight of an order is greater than 1000 kg, the remaining elements will be assigned to one or more pallets.
Q. International Marble delivery cost.
A. Each pallet assumes an individual delivery charge. Charges are calculated using the requested delivery service (next day, economy, etc.) plus any additional service - see below. Due to numerous factors, we can not guarantee the exact delivery date, although we use every reasonable effort to deliver the goods on the requested day. The basic delivery costs can be found below. Call the sales team for a more accurate quote. Shipping costs are calculated using our "postal zones" of the carriers - typically there are 5 zones
Q. International marble delivery cost.
A. Local delivery Northern Ireland and Ireland - £ 33 per pallet, next day service. Most other areas in the UK - £ 49 per pallet. EU deliveries start from - £ 155 per pallet 5 to 7 working day. All prices are ex VAT.
Q. International marble last order cut time?
A. In order to qualify for our service the same day dispatch, orders must be placed before 12.30pm. Any order placed after that date can not be processed that day and could subsequently be assigned for the next day's schedule. Orders placed on Saturday are processed the next business day.
Q. Order arrival day of delivery.
A. In order to qualify for our service the same day dispatch, orders must be placed before 12.30pm. Any order placed after that date can not be processed that day and could subsequently be assigned for the next day's schedule. Orders placed on Saturday are processed the next business day.
The day of delivery The drivers of our carrier will typically call you on the day of delivery to let you know when they will arrive with your goods. While we request that all our customers be called on the day of delivery, drivers are not contractually obliged to do so. The buyer or buyer's must be present at the delivery address on the specified date.
If no one is present at the time of delivery, the goods will be returned to the carrier's depot and will not be returned until specific instructions have been given to do so by International Marble A re-delivery charge of £ 49 per pallet shipment is imputable for non-delivery to cover additional shipping.
Q. Delivery vehicle and offloading delivery.
A. Natural stone is very heavy and, as such, deliveries are made with large trucks. You will be asked about restricted access at the time of ordering. We must be notified of any restricted access to the details prior to shipment as we may request a smaller vehicle if necessary. All deliveries are made using a tail lift vehicle. It is a platform at the rear of the vehicle used to lower the pallets to the ground. Delivery will usually be kerbside depending on the vehicle used and access to the site.
Deliveries directly into the customer units will be at the discretion of the driver - will do their best to help you get the goods to the nearest desirable point. If there are access problems such as uneven terrain, narrow alleyway and driveway or overhanging trees, the goods will be left at the nearest and safe access point for the indicated address. The delivery controller can not help you move the goods from the delivery point to any other part of your property.
Q. Damages and sort on your stone tile order?
Goods must be inspected upon delivery. There will be a large red tag on each pallet that asks you to check the shipping. While we do not expect you to check each piece, we ask you to look for visible damage. If there is visible damage of any description, you should mark DAMAGED PRODUCTS on the delivery note and NOTHING ELSE.
Customers must inform us directly (in addition to signing the delivery note that we will not be able to see for another 3 days) within 24 hours if any of their goods have been damaged during the transport. Please note that we take photographs of each order as the order is being processed in our store, and just before shipment. This allows us to provide evidence of the condition of shipments before delivery so that we can file a claim against our carriers in the unlikely event of any damage during transportation.
We must have exact amounts of any damaged tile within 48hrs. We will then arrange replacements immediately, provided they have been signed as damaged. If the goods are signed in "good condition" and later found to have been damaged and the damage was caused in transit, then we can not make a claim against the carrier and we will not be able to replace the damaged goods "Free ". It is of vital importance that whoever is signing the products adheres to the above. If the merchandise will be received by a third party, ie a builder or manufacturer representative, be sure to follow the instructions on the big red label.
Photographic evidence of ALL damage will be required to assist with any insurance claim against the transportation contractor.
Q. Other damage to property?
A. Very occasionally minor damage to the tiles can be found after unpacking. Remember that stone tiles are a natural product. All natural stone will have some level of stains, veining, chipping and pinholes. These are positive features - absolute perfection in natural stone is not possible and should not be sought! Your order must contain at least 10% more "cuts and debris", ie additional tiles that need to cut to go against walls and ceilings. The 10% subsidy means that ultimately 10% of the total order will be disposed of in cuts and waste. Any tile with small chips on edges or corners can easily be used inside the "cuts" without compromising the integrity of the installation.
