Delivery Times:

Deliveries are typically made between 8am and 6pm, and specific time slots cannot be guaranteed. We request our delivery partners to provide a one-hour call-ahead notice if possible. Our delivery service requires a signature upon delivery, and an ID check may be requested.

Pallet Sizes:

For orders exceeding 100kg, pallet delivery is essential for the safe transportation of your tiles. These pallets are generally 'half' or 'full' size and measure approximately:

  • Half size: 70 x 60 cm
  • Full size: 70 x 120 cm

Please note that the maximum load on each pallet is 1000kg. Orders exceeding this weight will arrive on two or more pallets.

Kerbside Delivery:

Our deliveries are made to the kerbside only, as is customary for most pallet deliveries. Delivery drivers are not insured to enter your property, open the pallet, or physically handle the tiles. Since tiles are heavy, with some boxes weighing up to 30kg, we recommend arranging for assistance to promptly move your order into your property.

Accepting Your Delivery:

Ensure that a responsible person is present upon delivery to:

  • Inspect for any damage
  • Verify the presence of all items
  • Sign to accept the delivery

Damages:

In the unfortunate event of damage to your order during transit, please follow these steps within 24 hours of receipt:

  • Sign "DAMAGED" on the delivery note
  • Take photos of all damaged tiles
  • Email us at [Provide Email]

For sustainability reasons, we recommend using damaged tiles for cuts in your project whenever possible. We'll dispatch free replacements or credit you for damaged tiles after reviewing your form and photos.

Access Issues:

Please inform us in advance of any local access issues such as narrow lanes, repair works, or road closures. We'll make alternate arrangements if needed, possibly incurring an extra charge for a smaller vehicle or re-delivery.

Cancelling Your Order:

To cancel your order, contact cs@intmarble.com within two hours of placing it. Orders are dispatched quickly, and redelivery charges may apply if the order has already left our premises.

Changing Your Order:

We can amend quantities, delivery dates, or addresses if you contact us within two hours of placing your order. After this window, redelivery charges may apply.

Late Deliveries:

Occasionally, external factors like traffic or weather may cause delivery delays beyond our control. We'll do our best to notify you of any delays. We recommend not scheduling tradespersons until after your order has been delivered.

Tile Storage:

If you're not ready for immediate tile delivery, we offer free storage in our warehouse for up to two months. For extended storage, a small charge may apply. Contact cs@intmarble.com for details.

Terrazzo Flooring

Completed Project

Before beginning the installation process, it is important to ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from any debris. The subfloor should be level and free of any cracks or imperfections that could affect the final result.

The first step in the installation process is to apply a bonding agent to the subfloor. This will help to create a strong bond between the subfloor and the terrazzo mix.

Next, the terrazzo mix is poured onto the subfloor and spread out evenly using a trowel. This mix is typically made up of marble or granite chips, mixed with a cement or epoxy binder. Once the mix is spread out, it is allowed to cure for several days.

After the mix has cured, the surface is ground down using a series of diamond abrasives. This process helps to create a smooth and level surface and also exposes the decorative chips in the mix.

Once the surface has been ground down to the desired level, it is polished using a series of finer diamond abrasives. This process helps to bring out the shine in the terrazzo and creates a smooth and glossy surface.

Finally, any cracks or imperfections in the surface are filled in using a matching epoxy or cement filler.

Overall, the installation of terrazzo flooring is a complex and time-consuming process that requires the skills and experience of a professional flooring contractor. It is important to choose a reputable contractor who has experience with terrazzo flooring to ensure the best results.
