Natural stone tiles must be installed exclusively using S1 or S2 class white flexible polymer-modified adhesive. Standard or grey adhesives cause moisture shadowing and permanent staining through porous stone. Substrates must be completely rigid, flat, dust-free, and cured before tiling.

We strongly recommend ordering a 10% to 15% wastage allowance above your net room area. This accommodates necessary diagonal cuts, edge fitting, border trim grading, and ensures you retain spare tiles from the exact same quarry batch for future repairs.

Yes, natural stone is 100% compatible with both electric wire and hydronic (water-based) underfloor heating systems. Natural stone possesses high thermal conductivity and thermal mass, distributing heat uniformly across living spaces.

Thermal mass refers to a material's capacity to absorb, store, and slowly release thermal energy. Calibrated natural marble tiles act as a thermal battery, retaining heat long after underfloor heating systems cycle off, resulting in superior energy efficiency.

Natural stone contains microscopic pores that absorb liquids. Sealing with a breathable impregnating stain-guard is mandatory. You must apply the first coat before grouting to prevent grout haze and pigment penetration, and a second coat after grouting to seal the grout joints.

Clean natural stone exclusively with specialist pH-neutral stone cleaners (such as Lithofin MN Easy-Care). Never use supermarket bathroom sprays, bleach, vinegar, or acidic cleaners, as acid immediately etches calcium carbonate, dulling polished and honed finishes.

Orders ship in reinforced wooden crates via tail-lift pallet vehicles for kerbside delivery. Deliveries require flat, hard-standing ground (concrete or tarmac). Freight dispatches directly from our Kilkeel depot with 100% full transit insurance.

We accept returns on full, unopened boxes within 14 days of receipt. Because natural stone exhibits inherent batch shade variations, we cannot accept returns on loose individual tiles, opened boxes, or items purchased months prior.
