Calacatta Amber Honed Marble Herringbone Mosaic. Featuring a refined 15x75mm "Petit" chip size, this mosaic offers a dense, intricate pattern that elevates the traditional herringbone design. Sourced for its premium warm honey and amber veining, it provides a sun-kissed, luxurious alternative to standard grey-veined marbles.
The "Amber" Distinction
Calacatta Amber is prized by interior designers for its warm mineral tones. Unlike the cool blues of Carrara, the gold and cream hues in this honed marble create a welcoming, spa-like atmosphere that pairs beautifully with brass fixtures, oak cabinetry, and neutral "Warm Minimalism" decor.

Luxury Applications
The 15x75mm herringbone pattern is versatile enough for both floor and wall applications, providing excellent slip resistance due to the high frequency of grout lines:
- Shower Floors: The intricate herringbone layout provides a stunning, high-grip surface for wet room floors.
- Feature Splashbacks: Frame this mosaic with our Calacatta Verde Pencil Liner for a high-contrast botanical look.
- Vanity Walls: Create a textured backdrop for mirrors and wall-mounted gold taps.
- Period Renovations: Add a 1920s Art Deco touch to fireplaces or hallways using our Carrara Art Deco Skirting.
Installation & Batch Matching
For the best results with Calacatta Amber, we recommend a "Dry Lay" before installation. This allows you to blend the natural honey veining evenly across your surface. Use a white adhesive and high-quality impregnating sealer to protect the natural crystalline structure of the marble.
Herringbone Mosaic FAQ
How many sheets are in 1m²?
For the 325x260mm sheets, you will need approximately 12 sheets per square metre. We recommend a 15% wastage factor for herringbone patterns due to the diagonal cuts at the edges.
Can I use this for a kitchen floor?
Yes! The 10mm thickness and high-density marble make it suitable for light residential floor traffic, such as kitchens or cloakrooms.
